Parkersburg Veterinary Hospital is well-equipped to perform most minor as well as major surgical procedures, from routine spays and neuters to more complicated orthopedic and soft-tissue surgeries as well as some neurological surgeries. We highly recommend pre-anesthetic blood testing that will enable us to help detect any existing medical conditions that might endanger your pet’s health.

We offer a variety of anesthetic agents tailored to your pet’s individual needs. We use state-of-the-art anesthetic agents.

Pain management is an important part of pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative anesthetic and medical protocol. We strongly recommend that all surgical patients receive pain control medication. Please discuss operative pain management options with one of our veterinary technicians.

Parkersburg Veterinary Hospital is fully equipped to perform most common orthopedic procedures including fracture repairs, joint surgery and bone biopsies. Our doctors have over 50 years of combined experience in repairing torn anterior cruciate ligaments and performing other technical orthopedic procedures.
